I read the entire book in one day because I couldn't put it down, but there are so many great nuggets that I will want to go back and read it again with a pen and a highlighter. The vulnerability shown by Tommy and Eddie was truly heartwarming while their ability to tell a story in yet another medium brings us all back to what we love about The Skit Guys... they are so funny! And although I smiled and giggled through the whole book… it isn’t fluff… it’s a real conversation on what true life giving, God breathed friendship looks like. Loved the “dialogue” format and all the stories! It was casual and fun and so easy to read! Reading this book to get a better perspective on friendship is like asking a couple who’s been happily married for over 70 years how to have a good marriage. As lifelong friends since the awkward early years of high school, Tommy and Eddie have been through it all -- the highs, the lows, and the mundane -- and they’re here to tell all about how they learned and worked their way through everything for over three decades. But oh my goodness, this book was so great….and not all about bacon ;). The Skit Guys have such a unique way of having profound thoughts, in the middle of making you laugh. And that definitely comes through in this book. I absolutely love that it relates to ALL types of relationships in life. It’s not just a “couples” book like so many others out there. Sure, you can absolutely use these nuggets in your relationship with your significant other, but it’s not just geared towards that. Great insights for relationships with friend, family, coworkers etc. And one of my favorite things, its an easy read! Haha. There are all these breakout dialogue moments between Tommy and Eddie, and it makes you feel like you’re right in the room having the conversation with them. Great read! In their book, they use their own style of humor as a guide for making and keeping friends. To further the concept, they apply it to matters of faith. Tommy Woodard and Eddie James have been best friends since high school.
